We have been here in Budh Vihar for some time now. It’s a quiet part of Alwar but the trucks make it busy sometimes. People usually come in looking for a few bags for their home repairs or bigger projects happening nearby. The office at A-17 isn't anything fancy, just a desk, some chairs, and a lot of paperwork piled up. We spend most of our mornings checking the stock and talking to the drivers who come in from the plant. It gets a bit dusty because of the nature of the work, but that is just how it is with cement. We know most of the people around here by name. Sometimes the weather makes things slow, especially when it rains and we have to cover everything up fast. It’s a straightforward job. We get the orders, we sort out the delivery, and we make sure the numbers match at the end of the day. There are three of us working here usually. We drink a lot of tea while waiting for the next load to arrive at the yard. It’s not a glamorous life but it keeps the town building. If you walk past, you’ll see the sign and probably some white powder on the doorstep. We try to keep it clean but it’s a losing battle most days in this line of work. We just focus on getting the bags where they need to go without too much fuss or delay for the builders.
