Rk Marble Moorties Emporium

Our workshop is out in Village Boontoli, which falls under the Laxmangarh tehsil. It is a bit of a drive if you are coming from the main city, but it's where we have always been. Rk Marble Moorties Emporium is more of a yard than a proper shop. We have large blocks of marble sitting out in the open. The weather out here can be pretty harsh, especially during the summer months when the sun reflects off the white stone. It gets so bright you can hardly see without squinting. We spend the whole day cutting and polishing. It’s messy work and we are usually covered in slurry by lunchtime. There isn't much to do in Boontoli other than work, so we stay pretty focused on the orders we have. People usually find us because they heard about us from someone else in the district. We don't really have a sign that’s very easy to see from the road, but most folks know where the marble yard is. It’s just a simple life out here in the village. We wake up early to start before the heat gets too bad. Sometimes we sit under the neem tree to eat our lunch and talk about the day's work. It’s quiet and we like it that way, even if the work is heavy. The dust gets into everything, but you just get used to washing it off at night.
