We are out in the industrial area of Bhiwadi at E-45a. If you have ever been to Bhiwadi, you know it’s a lot of factories and wide roads. Nagina Footwears has a pretty big space here. The main floor is where all the action happens. We have the soles being pressed and the tops being stitched together. It’s loud because of the machines, so we have to shout a bit to be heard. The floor is concrete and can get pretty hard on your feet if you don't wear the right shoes. We have a small office in the front where the paperwork gets handled, but most of us spend our time on the production floor. It gets very dusty out here, so we are always wiping down the machines and the desks. The water cooler is the most popular spot in the building, especially when it’s 40 degrees outside. We aren't doing anything fancy, just making shoes that people can actually wear. We have a regular crew of guys who know how to handle the equipment. Every Friday we try to clean up the whole place so it’s fresh for Monday morning. It’s a lot of hard work, but we are proud of what we do. The noise and the dust are just things you deal with. We’ve been at it for a while and we know the routine like the back of our hands. It's just a regular factory day.
