Gabrnath Hospital

Down here in Bansur, Gabrnath Hospital is just one of those places everyone knows. We are situated right in the heart of the town, so there is always something going on outside our windows. The dust from the road sometimes settles on the front steps, so we are constantly sweeping it away. It’s a local hospital, nothing too fancy, just a place where people come when they are sick or hurt. We have seen families grow up over the years, from babies being born to looking after the older folks. The hallways are narrow and the paint is peeling a little bit in the corners, but it doesn't stop us from doing what needs to be done. We don't have a big cafeteria or a gift shop like those city hospitals do. If you're hungry, you usually just go to the stall down the street. The staff here lives nearby, so they know most of the patients by their first names or who their cousins are. It makes the place feel less like a clinical institution and more like a part of the town's fabric. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to switch over to the generator, which makes a lot of noise. It’s just how life is in Bansur. We stay busy with the locals and the farmers from the nearby fields who stop in. It is honest work and we have been doing it this way for a long time.
