DHANPATI CHETRIYE VIKAS NIDHI LIMITED

Our spot is in the Narayanpur area of Thanaganji in Alwar. Our office is shop number 02, belonging to Om Prakash Singh, and it’s right in front of the Purshotam Dharamkanta. This is a very practical spot because of the Dharamkanta; there are always trucks stopping to weigh their loads. This makes the 301024 area quite lively and often a bit dusty. Our shop at Dhanpati Chetriye Vikas Nidhi Limited is a small one, just big enough for our desks and a few stools for visitors. We have a tiled floor that we have to sweep a few times a day because of all the dirt from the road. We have a simple counter where we keep our main registers and a few pens. It gets very hot in Alwar, so we always keep the fan running at its highest speed. We don't have any fancy signs or modern decor inside the shop. It’s just a plain room where we do our work every day. People from the village often stop by while they are out doing their errands. We know most of them by their faces if not their actual names. We spend our time writing down details and making sure our records are correct. It’s a lot of sitting and talking, which we actually enjoy. Sometimes we share a snack or some tea with whoever is visiting at that moment. It’s a very basic setup, but it’s all we need. We’ve been part of this street for a long while now and it feels like home to us.
