Down on Cinema Road in the Khairthal Mandi area, things move pretty fast. Adarsh Trading Company is right in the thick of it. The mandi is always a hectic place, especially during the peak seasons when the farmers and transporters are all moving goods at once. Our shop isn't much to look at, just a sturdy building where we manage our trades and keep track of everything coming in. We deal with various goods depending on what’s moving through the market at the time. It’s a lot of phone calls and writing things down in ledgers. The noise from the street is constant, with tractors and trucks honking all day long. We have a small crew here, and we all pitch in with the loading and unloading when things get busy. It’s not the kind of work where you can sit still for very long. Sometimes the market prices change fast, and we have to keep up with that, which can be stressful. We drink a lot of tea to keep ourselves going throughout the long hours. It’s a plain, no-nonsense kind of business. We’ve been on Cinema Road for a while now, and we’ve seen the market change quite a bit over the years. It’s a tough environment but it feels good to be part of the local trade scene here. We just take each day as it comes and try to stay organized.
