We are located right near the government school in Bupesh Nagar, so it’s easy enough to find the place. Ramanujan Jaya Preethi Earth Movers has been working around Yapral and Alwal for quite some time now. Most of our days are spent out on different plots of land, moving dirt or clearing out spaces for new construction. The machines are loud and they take a lot of looking after, which is mostly what we do when we aren't out on a job. It’s a family-run thing, really. We keep the equipment parked at 5-1-205/1 when it isn't being used. It gets muddy, especially when the rains start, but the work doesn't stop for much. People around here know us for the yellow machines. We don't do much in the way of talking; we just get the digging done. Sometimes the ground is harder than we expect, which slows things down, but that's just how earth moving goes. We’ve seen this neighborhood change a lot over the years. New houses go up, and we're often the ones who start the process by leveling the site. It is tiring work, but it feels good to see a flat piece of land where there used to be rocks and weeds. We don't use any high-tech systems, just the levers and the pedals we've known for years. Usually, it's just a call on the phone and we show up to look at the site. We keep it simple.
