If you go right across from the post office in Thaikkattukara, you will see us on the first floor. Unirans Technosystems Pvt. Ltd. has been at 3/627C for a while now. It’s a handy spot because everyone knows where the post office is, so we never have to give complicated directions. The office isn't anything special to look at, just a place where we get our work done. We handle a lot of technical systems and sometimes the floor is covered in manuals and cables. There are only a handful of us here, so things stay pretty quiet most of the time unless we’re testing something loud. We usually take our tea breaks together and talk about whatever is going on in the neighborhood. It’s a small operation, which means we all have to know how to do a bit of everything. One day you might be answering phones and the next you’re helping move a heavy piece of equipment. We don’t spend money on fancy decorations or expensive furniture. We’d rather spend that time making sure the stuff we build actually works. It's a bit lived-in, with some scratches on the desks and a clock that's five minutes fast, but it works for us. The stairs can be a bit steep when you’re carrying a heavy box, so we all have to watch our step. Sometimes the postman pops in just to say hello or drop off a package directly. It feels more like a home than a sterile office.
