The workshop is located at 256C in Nochima Aluva. If you know the area, it is near the industrial patches. We have been making pavers here for quite a bit now. It is a very hands-on job. The cement and the molds make for a lot of cleaning up at the end of every shift. We have a small crew and everyone knows what they are supposed to do. Some days the humidity in Aluva makes the drying process take forever, which can be annoying when we have a big order waiting. We have stacks of finished blocks all over the yard. It can be a bit of a maze if you don't know where you are walking. We don't do much in the way of decoration in the office. It's just a desk, some files, and a fan that squeaks a little. Most of our day is spent out on the floor or talking to drivers who are picking up loads. The machines are old but they still work fine for what we need. We see a lot of rain in this part of Kerala, so we have to cover the fresh batches with big plastic sheets. It is heavy work and everyone goes home pretty tired. We aren't trying to be anything big, just making sure the pavers come out right and get sent off to the sites around Aluva and beyond. It is just basic manufacturing work and keeping the trucks moving out of the yard.
