Nalanda Openschool Payyal

We are located out in Payyal, in the Nedungapra area of Kuruppampady. It’s a bit of a drive if you’re coming from the main part of Ernakulam, but it’s a nice, quiet spot. We are situated near the Akshaya centre, which is where most people go for their paperwork, so we aren't hard to find. The school is a simple setup. We don't have big halls or fancy gymnasiums. It’s just a few rooms where people can come and work on their open school courses. We see people of all ages here, which is nice. Some are finishing up things they started years ago. We don't judge anyone's progress; we just provide the space and the materials needed. The chairs are a bit old and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it’s a functional space. We handle a lot of the registrations and help people figure out which exams they need to take. It’s mostly just us sitting at the desks and helping out whoever walks through the door. There’s no big corporate office behind us, just a local team doing our best to keep things running smoothly. The environment is quite laid back, and we usually have the windows open to let the breeze in since we’re a bit away from the city noise. If you stop by, just look for the small entrance next to the main building. We are usually here till the evening.
