Sg Iron & Gray Iron Foundry is part of the Alpine Alloys setup located at units 262 and 263 near the Narasapura Bypass in Kolar. It is an industrial area and that is exactly where a foundry belongs. The work we do is hot and heavy, involving iron and various casting processes. It is not the kind of job where you stay clean, and our facility reflects that. It is a practical, hardworking environment where the machines are always running and there is a lot of noise. We do not have a polished office with a receptionist. Usually, if you come to find us, you will see us out on the floor managing the production. Kolar is a good place for this kind of business because the bypass makes it easy for trucks to get in and out with materials. We focus on the actual metalwork rather than spending time on fancy brochures or marketing. It is a tough business and some days are harder than others when a machine needs repair or a deadline is tight. We just deal with those things as they happen. We have been doing this for a while and we know the ins and outs of gray iron. It is just us here, making the parts that other companies need for their own products. We do not make it sound more complicated than it really is.
