Neeraj Bisht runs BISHT INFRATECH PRIVATE LIMITED from our village, Bella, which is near the post office in Dewayal. We’re tucked away in the Salt Tehsil of Almora. Working up here in the hills is a bit different than the cities. Everything takes a little longer because of the winding roads and the distance from major supply hubs. We handle infratech projects, which basically means we help build the stuff people need around here. It’s a small operation, very much a local effort. We know everyone in the village and the surrounding areas. Our work isn't about being flashy; it's about being useful. Most days involve a lot of walking or driving on rough roads to reach different sites. We deal with the local climate, which can be pretty harsh in the winter. We don’t have a big corporate office. Our headquarters is just a regular place in Village Bella where we keep our records and meet with neighbors who need work done. We try to be fair and get things finished on time, though the terrain often has other plans. It’s a quiet life but we stay busy with the various building tasks that pop up. People know us by name, and that’s how we like it. We just focus on the job at hand in our corner of Almora, taking it one project at a time.
