Our office is right on Taskhand Marg in Civil Lines, which is a pretty active part of Allahabad. If you stand outside Swapnakar Architectural and Interior Design Solution, you can see the students coming and going from St. Joseph College just across the way. It’s a noisy spot, but it’s got a lot of energy. We’ve been at L-3/3 K for some time now, working on various interior layouts and building plans. It’s a mix of different tasks every day. One morning we might be picking out tiles and the next we’re trying to figure out how to fit a kitchen into a tiny corner. The office is usually cluttered with samples, catalogs, and half-finished drawings. We don't really bother with keeping it looking like a showroom because we’re actually working in here. It’s a local business through and through. We know the shopkeepers nearby and often grab a quick snack from the street vendors during our break. It’s just how things are in this part of the city. People come to us when they have a new house or want to change their shop around. We listen to what they want, draw it up, and try to make it work. It’s a lot of back and forth, but that’s the nature of design. We like the hustle of Civil Lines and wouldn't really want to be anywhere else right now. It's a good spot to get work done.
