Tata Motors Ltd

Our workshop is located at Prakash Motors on Pratapgarh Road, right by the Sarpathi Nahar in Mauaima. It is a fairly open area, and you can see the canal nearby, which is nice when you need a breather. This branch of Tata Motors Ltd stays pretty busy with vehicles coming in for all sorts of reasons. We have got a lot of tools scattered around the bays, and there is usually a layer of oil on the floor no matter how much we scrub it. The mechanics here are always under a hood or crawling under a chassis. It’s loud, with the sound of wrenches and engines revving up all day long. We don’t have a fancy waiting room with a TV; usually, people just hang out near the entrance or talk to the staff while we work. The sun can get really hot coming through the open doors in the summer. We have a couple of dogs that hang around the yard, and they pretty much belong to the place now. Most of the guys here have grease under their fingernails and a story to tell about a car they couldn't fix easily. We just handle the vehicles that show up and try to get them back on the road. It’s honest, messy work that keeps us busy from sunrise to sunset. There isn't much to it besides that. Just a bunch of people who know their way around an engine.
