You can find JB Architects & Engineers at the Shiv Mahima Complex on G.T. Road. We are on the ground floor, which is nice because we don't have to climb stairs all day long. The office is in Bamrauli, right near the Ponghat Pul. Allahabad can be a bit chaotic with the traffic on G.T. Road, but we are used to it. Our office is usually full of rolls of paper and long rulers. We spend hours looking at computer screens and then even more hours out in the sun checking on construction. It’s not a glamorous job. There is always mud or cement dust on our shoes. We deal with the engineering side of things too, so it's not just about making things look pretty. We have to make sure they actually stand up and work right. We’ve been at this complex for a while. Usually, the morning starts with a lot of phone calls to contractors and vendors. We don't have a receptionist in a suit; it’s usually just one of us answering the door. Sometimes we have to explain things three times to make sure everyone is on the same page. We don't promise miracles, just honest work that follows the rules. It gets hot in Bamrauli during the summer, but the office stays relatively cool. We just keep at it, one drawing at a time, trying to get things built properly for the people who hire us.
