Civil Lines is where you will find us. It’s a well-known area, so most drivers don’t have any trouble getting here. Dubey Transport Enterprises has been operating from this spot for a good while. The office is really just a place to park the vehicles and handle the paperwork. It’s not meant to look pretty. We have a couple of old desks, a few chairs for when people stop by, and a lot of registers. Transport is a messy business, and our office reflects that. There’s always someone coming in to report a delay or pick up a delivery note. The phone rings a lot, usually with someone asking where a truck is or when a load will arrive. Civil Lines has its own atmosphere—a bit more organized than the market areas but still busy in its own way. We spend a lot of time talking to drivers and making sure the vehicles are in decent shape. It’s a lot of coordination and sometimes things go wrong, like a flat tire or a blocked road. We don’t have a fancy mission statement or a polished look. We just try to get things from one place to another without too much trouble. It’s a lot of hard work and long hours, especially at night when the long-distance routes start. But it’s what we know how to do. We just keep our heads down and keep the wheels moving.
