Designer Sanjay

I work out of my place at No. 20-A Talab Nawal Rai in New Bairahana. It’s a quiet spot near the water, and I’ve set up my studio here. It’s not a big corporate office, just a room with a large table, some drafting lights, and stacks of fabric and sketches. I’ve lived in this neighborhood for most of my life, so I decided to keep my work close to home. People know me as the guy who’s always drawing something or looking at patterns. I don’t have a receptionist, so if you call, you get me directly. Sometimes I’m busy with a needle or a sewing machine and might miss the door. The space is a bit cramped because I keep everything I might need for a design close by. I do things my own way, focusing on one piece at a time. It’s not a fast process. New Bairahana is a nice place to be, and the view of the talab helps when I’m stuck on an idea. I don’t follow the trends you see in the big shops. I just make what feels right for the person I’m working for. My workspace is a bit of a mess with threads and scraps on the floor, but that’s just part of the job. It feels more natural that way. I usually work late into the night when it's quietest outside and I can really think about the shapes.
