Elements Interior

Elements Interior is located at 12/43 Kamla Towers, right across from the ICICI Bank on S.P. Marg in Civil Lines, Allahabad. Being in this part of the city means there is always something going on outside. The bank across the way is always busy, so we see a lot of people coming and going from our window. Our space is filled with samples of fabrics, wood bits, and color charts that are scattered around. It is rarely tidy because we are always pulling things out to show how they look together. The light in Civil Lines is actually quite good in the afternoons, which helps when looking at materials. We have a couple of large tables where we spread out drawings and sketches. Sometimes the ink from the pens gets on our hands and stays there for days. It is a bit of a walk up to the office, but the view of the street keeps us connected to the city. We don't have a receptionist; usually, one of us just looks up from a drawing when someone walks in. We spend a lot of time discussing how things should fit or why a certain material might not work. It is honest work and we take it one day at a time. The office feels lived-in, like a place where people actually think and create rather than just sit at a computer.
