Ahluwalia Contracts (i) Ltd. is based right near Allahabad Chowk. It’s a very busy area with a lot of people and traffic moving through at all hours. We kind of like the energy of it, though it can be loud when we are trying to have meetings. We’ve been around for a long time and have handled a lot of different contracts across the region. Our office isn’t much to look at from the outside, but it’s where all the planning and coordination happens. We have a lot of staff who have been with us for decades, so there is a lot of experience in the room. We don't use any fancy software for everything; sometimes a pen and paper are still the best way to figure things out. We spend a lot of time out at job sites, making sure things are being built correctly and on time. It’s a lot of responsibility, but we take it seriously. We don't use marketing slogans or try to sound like a giant corporation. We are just a bunch of people who know how to build things. If you come by the office, you’ll probably find someone drinking tea and looking over a set of drawings. We just keep things moving and try to do right by the people we work for. It’s a steady job and we’re glad to be doing it, even on the days when everything seems to go wrong at once.
