Institute Of Pesticide Formulation

Our office is based in Siliguri, right inside the Metro Tower on Bamkim Chandra Road. We are on the 24th lot, over in the Hakimpara area. It is a busy part of the Darjeeling district. We have been working here for quite some time now, dealing with all the technical details of pesticide formulations. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know. The office is usually full of files and different samples we are looking at. Outside, the traffic on Bamkim Chandra Road can get pretty loud, especially in the afternoons. Siliguri has that specific mountain air, even if we are stuck inside most of the day. We have a few desks and some lab equipment scattered around the back rooms. It’s a bit cramped when everyone is in at the same time, but we manage just fine. We mostly keep to ourselves and focus on the chemistry and the paperwork that comes with this kind of work. The building itself is easy to find if you are familiar with Hakimpara. We don't have any big signs or anything fancy. It’s just a place where work gets done. Some days are slow and we just sit and drink tea while looking over the latest reports. Other days are a bit of a scramble. That's just how life is at the institute.
