Up here in Mal Bazar, the air feels a bit different than the crowded parts of West Bengal. Our accounting practice is based right here in Jalpaiguri, specifically in the 735221 area. It’s a modest setup, nothing like those big firms you see in the city. We have a few desks, some old chairs, and a lot of paper everywhere. I’ve always preferred working this way, where you actually know the people walking through the door. Most of our days are spent going through receipts and trying to make sure the GST filings are correct. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but someone has to do it. The office can get a bit humid during the monsoon, and we usually have a fan humming in the corner to keep things moving. We don't really do the whole corporate image thing. It’s just about getting the numbers right and making sure nobody gets in trouble with the tax department. Sometimes clients drop by just to chat for a bit before getting down to business. That’s just the way it is in a place like Mal Bazar. You get to know everyone's stories along with their income statements. It’s a steady pace of life, and while the deadlines can be a bit of a scramble, we usually find a way to get through the pile of folders on the desk by the end of the week. It’s just a plain, local spot for taxes.
