Chaiwala Tea Co.

Lataguri is where we are. It’s in the Jalpaiguri district. Things move a bit slower out here than they do in the big cities. We like it that way. Chaiwala Tea Co. is just a small part of this place. We spend our days looking out at the trees. The air is a bit different here. Sometimes the rain comes down so hard you can't hear yourself think. We just wait for it to pass. Our building isn't anything to write home about. It's just a place to keep our things and do our work. People in Jalpaiguri know the area well. We don't have to explain where Lataguri is to anyone who lives nearby. It’s a practical setup. We have a few tables and some old shelves. They do the job. We aren't into big marketing plans or flashy logos. We just exist here and do what we need to do. The road can get muddy after a storm. We’ve got boots for that. It’s not like those offices you see on TV. It's real. We see birds and occasionally some animals from the nearby forest. It’s a quiet existence for the most part. We don't need much more than what we have. If you come looking for us, you’ll find us just doing our daily tasks. We don't make a big deal out of it. It's just home. We have an old radio that plays local stations in the background while we sort things out.
