Sonam Golma Enterprise

Phuentsholing is always moving, especially with all the goods coming through the gate. Down here at Sonam Golma Enterprise, we’re right in the middle of it all. It’s a mountain town but it feels like a big city sometimes with all the trucks and the trade. We deal with a lot of different supplies that people in Bhutan need for their businesses or their homes. It’s not just one thing we handle; it’s a whole mix of stuff that keeps the place running. The air here is a bit different than up in Thimphu, a bit warmer and more humid, but we like it. The shop is usually full of boxes and people asking about prices or when the next shipment is arriving from across the border. We don't spend much time on fancy decorations or anything like that. We just focus on getting the crates moved and making sure the inventory is right. Sometimes the rain comes down really hard, and we all just huddle inside until it passes. It’s a practical kind of life, working in trade. You meet people from all over who are just trying to get their projects finished. We’ve been operating here for a good bit now, and we’ve seen the town grow quite a lot. It’s a solid place to work, even if the days are long and the work is a bit heavy sometimes. We just keep at it, day after day, without making much of a fuss about it.
