You can find us at Khan Building, which is right near the Tempo Stand in Purbil Nagar. It’s a very loud corner of the neighborhood because of all the drivers shouting and the engines idling all day long. We work with beads, which is funny because our work is so small and quiet while everything outside is so chaotic. The building is an old one, and our space is tucked inside where we can focus. We have thousands of tiny beads in jars and bags all over the place. Sometimes if you drop one, it’s gone forever under the floorboards. We spend hours stringing things together or sorting colors by hand. It’s tedious work, but we’ve grown used to it over the years. Purbil Nagar is a busy place, and being near the transport stand means we get a lot of people passing by our door. Most of them are just in a hurry to catch a ride, but we don't mind. We just keep our heads down and work on whatever project is on the table. The lighting isn't the greatest, so we have a few extra lamps set up so we don't strain our eyes. It’s a simple setup, nothing like those fancy showrooms you see in the city center. We just stay here in Khan Building and get the beadwork done day after day without much fuss. The floors are a bit uneven but we have our benches set up just right.
