Venus International

Venus International is based out of Aligarh, on Mahal Mart Lane in the Dodhpur area. If you know Aligarh, you know this part of town is usually buzzing with people and rickshaws. Our office is right in the middle of that energy. We have been here for a while, dealing with the daily ins and outs of international trade and local supply. It’s not always easy, especially when the power goes out or the street gets flooded during the rains, but we make it work. Our desks are usually piled high with shipping documents and ledgers. We don’t have a big corporate structure here; it’s more like a small group of people who have learned the trade by doing it every single day. We talk to people from different places all the time, but we still feel very much like a local Aligarh business. We aren't interested in sounding more important than we are. We just handle the goods, make sure the paperwork is correct, and try to keep everything moving smoothly. Sometimes the lane outside gets so crowded we have to wait to get the stock in, but that’s just life in Dodhpur. We like the pace of it. We just show up, do what needs to be done, and go home to our families. It’s a simple life and a simple business model that has served us well so far. We keep a jar of biscuits for guests.
