Varun Packaging Industries

Varun Packaging Industries is located at D-100 in Sector-2. It’s a busy place with rolls of plastic and stacks of cardboard everywhere. The shop isn't much to look at, but it gets the job done. We started this because we knew folks nearby needed boxes for their own businesses. My brother and I handle most of the work ourselves. The floor is usually covered in scraps of paper and bits of tape that we sweep up at the end of the day. It’s quite loud when the machines are running, so we usually have to shout to hear each other. We don't have a fancy office or any receptionists. If you walk in, you’ll just see us working. Sometimes the delivery truck gets stuck in the narrow lane outside, which causes a bit of a headache with the neighbors. We’ve been in this same spot for years now. People around here know where to find us. We don't do much in terms of advertising or anything like that. We just focus on getting the sizes right so the products don't move around inside. It’s a practical life. We drink a lot of tea to keep going through the afternoon slump. It’s not a glamorous job, but someone has to make the packaging. Most days are just about counting sheets and making sure the glue is holding. It’s what we know and how we spend our time.
