Urd Organic India Limited

We are located at 1/488A Siddharth Colonychawni in Aligarh. It is a quiet residential area for the most part, so having a business like Urd Organic India Limited here is a bit different. We try our best not to bother the neighbors too much with the noise. My desk is right by the window where I can see the kids playing in the street during the evenings. We do organic food products. It is mostly a small-scale operation right now. We spent the last few months just getting the paperwork in order and finding reliable sources for our goods. Aligarh is a tough market but we like being here. There is a lot of history in this town that you don't find elsewhere. Our team is tiny, just three people including me. We share all the work, whether it is cleaning the floor or answering the phone when it rings. It is not like those big companies in Delhi or Mumbai. We don't have a HR department or a cafeteria. We just eat our lunch together at the big wooden table in the back room. Sometimes we argue about which products we should stock next, but we always figure it out eventually. It gets a bit messy sometimes with all the samples lying around. We try our best to keep things organized, but it’s a struggle. It is a local operation and we want to keep it that way for as long as we can.
