Toshniwal Glass Beades is located in Suraran Mohalla-Garh in Purdil Nagar. If you know the area, you know it’s a place where people have been making things for a very long time. We work with glass beads, which is a delicate kind of job that requires a lot of patience. Our workspace isn't some modern factory; it’s more of a traditional setup tucked into the local lanes. The sun hits the glass in the mornings and makes the whole place sparkle for a bit before the real work begins. We have people here who have been doing this for years, and their hands move so fast you can barely see what they are doing. Purdil Nagar has its own way of doing things, and we fit right into that. There is always a lot of dust and the sound of beads clicking together. Sometimes the power goes out and we just have to wait it out, maybe sit outside for a bit and talk to the neighbors. It’s a community where everyone knows what everyone else is making. We don't have a website or a fancy marketing plan. People usually find us through word of mouth or by just walking through the Mohalla. We just keep our heads down and keep making the beads, one batch at a time. The smell of the furnaces and the heat are just things we are used to by now.
