Thakur Vamchand Singh Memorial Hospital

Thakur Vamchand Singh Memorial Hospital is located over at Ram Ghataligarh. If you know the area, we are right near the Vishal Magamart Moll. It’s a very busy section of town because of the moll and the market nearby. You can usually hear the music or the announcements from the Magamart if you stand outside our front door. The hospital building has the name carved into a stone plaque near the entrance. It’s a memorial, so we try to keep things respectful and quiet inside. We have several floors, and the stairs are made of dark stone. There is an elevator, but it’s a bit slow, so most of us just walk up and down. The waiting rooms have rows of plastic chairs. We have a small canteen on the ground floor that smells like tea and fried snacks in the afternoon. The staff is mostly local, and we’ve been working together for years. We keep the patient files in a small room behind the main desk. It’s a bit of a maze of paper. The windows in the wards look out toward the Ram Ghat area. You can see the rooftops and the trees. We don't have any flashy advertisements around. We just have our name on the gate. It’s a functional place that stays busy from morning until late at night. We just do our work and keep the building running as best as we can every day.
