Sultan Begum Memorial Hospital

Our hospital is tucked away in Doharrah, right near D S College. If you know the college area, you’ve probably passed by our building once or twice while walking to class or work. It was named in memory of Sultan Begum, and we’ve tried to keep it running as a reliable place for the local residents ever since we opened. The location is convenient for students and the families living in this part of town. We handle a variety of health issues every day, ranging from small fevers to more serious matters. It’s not a huge, modern medical complex, but it has the heart of a community clinic. Some of the equipment is older, but it still works fine and we maintain it well for the doctors. The waiting room has a few wooden benches where people sit and chat while they wait for their turn. We try to keep things organized, though sometimes the paperwork piles up on a busy afternoon when everyone comes at once. The doctors and nurses here are mostly local folks who understand the needs of the people in Doharrah. We aren’t trying to be anything we’re not; we are just a neighborhood hospital doing what we can for those who are sick. Usually, you can find us open from the early morning hours until late. Just head toward the college and you’ll see our sign on the gate. We are here every day, just doing the work that needs to be done.
