Sri Balaji Marbels & Tiles Co is located near Global City on the Etah Bypass Road, right by the Quarsi Chauraha. Being on the bypass makes it easy for people to find us when they are driving into town. We have a large area where we keep all sorts of marble slabs and tiles. It's an open-air kind of setup for the most part, so we are at the mercy of the weather. When it’s hot, the stone gets very warm to the touch. We spend our days moving these heavy pieces around for people to look at. Some of the marble has really interesting patterns, and we like showing those off to visitors. The Quarsi Chauraha is a very busy intersection, so there is always a lot of noise and dust from the passing trucks. We’ve got a small shed where we keep the more delicate tiles protected from the rain. It’s a family business and we’ve all put in a lot of sweat to keep it running over the years. We don't use any high-tech systems, just simple scales and measuring tapes. People come to us because we are right on the way and they can see what we have from the road. It’s hard work, but we’ve built a good life here on the bypass road. We just take it one day at a time and try to keep things simple and honest for everyone.
