Sheetal Clinic

We are located right across from the Sheela Devi Dharamshala in the Aligarh Ho area. It is a very busy spot, especially with people coming and going from the dharamshala all day long. The clinic is a basic setup with a desk for the doctor and a few wooden benches for people to sit on while they wait. We have an old ceiling fan that clicks a bit when it’s on the high setting, but it keeps the room cool enough. Most people who walk in are from the nearby streets or staying at the dharamshala for a few days. We see a lot of the same faces every week. Our files are mostly kept in large paper folders on the shelves behind the counter. It can get a bit dusty with the road being so close, so we are always wiping down the surfaces. We don’t have a fancy computer system; we just write things down in the register. Sometimes the electricity goes out in the afternoon, and we just open the windows and keep going until the power comes back. The neighborhood is loud with the sounds of rickshaws and vendors, but it’s home to us. We try to help everyone who walks through the door as best as we can. It’s a small place, and we do our best to keep things running smoothly without too much fuss. It is just a regular clinic doing its part in this busy corner of Aligarh.
