P.K. Engineering Works

P.K. Engineering Works is based out of B-1 in the Industrial Estate. This is a place where you expect to see a bit of grease and hear the sound of machines running. We aren't tucked away in a quiet office building. We are right in the middle of the action where things actually get built and repaired. The floors are hard, and we usually have our sleeves rolled up. Our spot in the estate has been our home for a long time. It’s a simple setup with enough room for our tools and the projects we are working on. We don't have air conditioning in the main work area, so it gets pretty warm in the summer months. We just open the big doors and keep moving. There is always a pot of tea going somewhere. We don't spend much money on things like new paint or fancy chairs. Most of our furniture is old metal desks that have been around as long as the company. People in the other units are our friends. We lend each other tools and help out when someone’s truck won't start. It’s a practical environment. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just take the engineering jobs that come in and finish them as best as we can. It’s dusty and noisy, but it’s where we feel most comfortable. The area is filled with trucks and workers all day, so there is always a sense of progress around us.
