S.R.Lites

You can find us over at Pakki Sarai, right near that spot they call Johra Bohra Kaun. We are tucked away behind the Sarai Sultani Police Chowki, which actually makes it pretty easy to explain to people who are looking for the shop for the first time. The space here at S.R.Lites is filled with all kinds of lighting stuff, from small bulbs to bigger fixtures. There are boxes stacked up almost to the ceiling in the back room, and sometimes it feels like a bit of a maze when you are looking for a specific part. We spend a lot of time testing out the lights to make sure they actually turn on before they leave the shop. It gets pretty bright in here when everything is plugged in at once. We’ve been in this neighborhood for a while, and we know most of the people who walk past our door every day. The police chowki being so close means it stays fairly quiet and orderly around this corner. We don’t have a big staff, just a few of us who handle the customers and keep track of the inventory. The floor is a bit uneven in places and the paint on the walls has seen better days, but it works for what we do. We just keep things simple and try to stay on top of the orders as they come in through the week. It is just a local business doing local work.
