New Moon Press

New Moon Press is located in Nai Basti, right near the Avas Vikas Colony Near Avas Vikas Colony. The smell of ink is the first thing you notice when you walk in. We have paper stacked everywhere, sometimes in towers that look like they might fall over. It’s a bit of a maze in here. We spend our days running the presses and making sure the colors look okay. Our hands are almost always stained with black or blue ink that doesn’t wash off easily. The machines are loud, so we have to shout a bit to be heard over them. It’s a busy neighborhood and we fit right in. We don't have a fancy office; it's mostly just the production floor. People from around Avas Vikas Colony drop in with their printing jobs, and we try to get them done as they come. Sometimes the machines jam and we have to spend an hour fixing them with grease and tools. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know. We’ve been in Nai Basti for a good while now. We don't spend money on ads; the noise of the press and the word of mouth from neighbors is enough. Every day is just about getting the pages printed and out the door. We might be a bit messy, but we are always working hard. It is just the way we have always done things.
