Mepro Electricals

Ramghat Road is always busy, especially around the area where we are. We are right across from K.K. Hospitals in the Indraprastha Estate area. Usually, the morning starts with moving some of the heavier boxes to make space for the walk-in customers. It’s a bit cramped inside Mepro Electricals when the new stock arrives, but we manage. Most of the guys here have been around for a few years now. We spend a lot of time checking lists and making sure the wires and parts are where they should be. It gets dusty because of the road construction nearby, so there’s a lot of cleaning to do every few hours. Sometimes the tea stall down the street brings over a tray if we’re too busy to leave. We don’t have fancy displays or anything like that. It’s just shelves full of electrical stuff and a couple of desks that have seen better days. The light flicker in the back room is something I need to fix eventually, but there’s always something else to do first. Customers come in looking for specific spares, and sometimes we have to dig through the back to find them. It isn’t a glamorous place, but it’s where we spend our days. The hospital sirens are like background music for us now. We just keep the doors open and get on with the work until it’s time to head home. It is just a normal shop doing its thing.
