M L Paper House

We’ve been running M L Paper House in Bara Bazaar for quite a few years now. If you know the area near Phool Chowk in Atrauli, you’ve probably walked past us a hundred times. The shop is small and usually smells like fresh paper and ink. We stock everything from school notebooks and registers to pens and basic office supplies. My family started this place because people in the market always needed a reliable spot for their stationery. It’s not a fancy store with air conditioning or bright neon lights. It’s just a regular local shop where the shelves are a bit crowded and we know most of our customers by their first names. During the start of the school year, it gets really hectic in here. Boxes pile up in the aisles and we spend all day helping parents find the right size covers for books. On slower days, we just sit near the front and watch the traffic go by on the street. Sometimes we run out of things if the delivery truck gets stuck, but we try to get it sorted out by the next day. We don't really do any big advertising or have a website. People just know we are here. We open up early and stay until the market starts to quiet down in the evening. It’s a simple life, just selling paper and pencils to the people of Atrauli. We hope to stay here for a lot longer.
