Kohinoor Interiors is tucked into Rajendra Plaza on Marris Road. It is a straightforward shop where we handle all the interior stuff. When you walk into Rajendra Plaza, you can usually find us without much trouble. The space is filled with samples of wood, fabric swatches, and various catalogs that we flip through with people. It’s not a pristine showroom; it’s a working office where we sketch out plans and look at measurements. Marris Road is a well-known part of town, so it’s a good location for us to be based. There is always a bit of sawdust somewhere on the floor from some model we were working on. The desks are covered with rulers, pens, and blueprints. We spend our time talking about heights, widths, and materials. It’s a practical environment. Sometimes the sunlight comes in through the front windows of the plaza, making it a bit warm in the afternoons. We don’t have any fancy marketing slogans on the walls, just the photos of projects we’ve finished and some calendars to keep track of the dates. The sounds of the street come in faintly, but mostly it’s just us talking about how to fit a cupboard or what color looks right in a certain light. We’ve been at Rajendra Plaza for a while, and it’s a comfortable routine for the whole team. It’s just a place where we do the work we know how to do.
