Khajra Hospital

Khajra Hospital sits right on the Aligarh Kwasi Bypass. We’re directly opposite the Jeevangarh Puliya, which is the main way people describe where we are. Being on the bypass means we get a lot of noise from the trucks and buses passing by at all hours. It never really gets quiet here. The building is a big, functional block that you can't miss if you're driving toward Aligarh. We have a gravel parking area that gets a bit muddy when it rains, so people have to be careful walking in. Inside, it’s a lot of white walls and tile floors. We keep the fans running constantly because the heat can be something else in the summer. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations or art on the walls. It’s just a hospital. The nurses and staff are usually running around between the different wards. We don't have a lot of time for formalities. If you come in, someone will talk to you soon enough, but you might have to wait if a lot of people arrived at the same time from the bypass. We’ve seen all sorts of things being located so close to the main road. We don't have a philosophy or a grand vision we talk about. We just stay open 24 hours and try to handle whatever comes through the door. It’s hard work, but the people in Jeevangarh and Aligarh know we’re here if they need us.
