Jeevan Hospital

Our place, Jeevan Hospital, is located right in gopalpuri. It’s a quiet enough area most of the time, which is nice for a hospital setting. We are not a massive operation with hundreds of beds; we are more of a local fixture where people come when they don't want to travel too far into the city. The front door has a slight squeak that we have been meaning to fix, but it is almost like a doorbell for us now. We know exactly when someone is coming in. The waiting area has some old magazines and a few plants that one of the nurses looks after. It’s not fancy, but it’s clean and gets the job done. Most of our day is spent handling the usual paperwork and making sure the rooms are ready for whoever needs them. We don't use a lot of big words or complicated explanations when people ask us things. We just tell them what is going on in plain English. The afternoon sun hits the front windows quite hard, so we keep the curtains drawn to keep the heat out. Life in gopalpuri moves at its own pace, and we have adapted to that over the years. We know the neighbors and the shopkeepers nearby. It’s just a steady, everyday kind of job for us here, and we are happy to be a part of the community without making a big fuss about things.
