The office is on Street No 7 in Dilshad Colony, tucked away in a spot that’s mostly residential. Being at 562, it is easy enough to find if you are walking down the street. This is where we put together the International Journal Of Basic Medicine And Clinical Research. It isn't a big publishing house with hundreds of employees. It’s more of a quiet space where we go through papers and check on clinical research data. The desks are usually covered in printouts and there’s always someone on the phone talking to a researcher. We have been here for a while, and the neighbors mostly know us as the quiet folks with all the mail. It gets a bit crowded when a new issue is being finalized, and we might stay a bit later than usual. The light in the office is okay, though we had to add some extra lamps for the evening work. There is nothing particularly fancy about the setup here. We just have our computers, some sturdy shelves for the old journal copies, and a kettle for making tea in the afternoon. People sometimes drop by to hand over documents instead of mailing them. Street 7 is generally calm compared to the main roads nearby, which makes it a decent place to focus on the technical reading we have to do every day to keep the journal moving along.
