Gujranwala Steel Works

We’ve been here at Chatterji Compound on GT Road for quite a while now. If you’re looking for Gujranwala Steel Works, we are right near the Shiva Petrol Pump, just by the Bajaj showroom in the Dubey Ka Parao area of Aligarh. It’s a busy spot. Most days are just about getting the metal cut and welded properly. We spend a lot of time surrounded by sheets of steel and the sound of machines running. It gets pretty loud in the workshop. People stop by because they know the spot. Sometimes the traffic on GT Road makes it hard to get in and out, but that’s just how it is here. We do a lot of heavy lifting. It isn't fancy work, just honest labor with iron and steel. My hands are usually covered in some kind of grease or metal dust by the end of the shift. We have some old machines that still run fine and some newer ones too. The neighborhood knows us well enough. We don't spend much time sitting around talking. There is always something that needs to be measured or a piece of steel that needs moving from one corner to the other. You can see the sparks from the street when we are busy. It’s just a regular shop where we do what needs doing every day. We don't have a big office or anything, just the workspace and the tools we need. We've lived with the heat of the furnace and the grind of the metal for years. It's our life.
