Diggaj Singh Building Material

We are down here on Agra Road, just across from the SBI Bank in Sasni Gate. My name is on the sign but really it's just a place where we keep the stuff people need to build things. 17/238, A First, Lodhipuram is the official spot. Most days are spent moving bags around and making sure the trucks can get in and out without blocking the road. It gets pretty dusty out here, especially in the afternoons. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that. Just a desk and some chairs where people sit and talk about their house projects. The address is a bit long if you look at it on paper, but if you know where the bank is, you won't miss us. We have been in this part of Aligarh for a good bit of time now. Sometimes the traffic on the main road makes it hard for the deliveries, but we manage somehow. It’s mostly just hard work and making sure we have enough stock for the local builders who come by every morning. I usually get here early to open up before it gets too hot. People come in with lists written on scraps of paper and we try to get them sorted out. It isn't a complicated business, just bricks and cement and things like that. We know the neighbors around Lodhipuram well. It’s a busy spot but we like it here.
