Dangi General Store

We are right in the middle of Dangi Mkt over in Sarai Kwaja. If you know the Main Market area, you’ve probably walked past us a dozen times. Dangi General Store isn't anything special to look at from the street, just a lot of boxes and shelves crammed together. Keeping a bit of everything on hand is important because you never know what someone is going to ask for. One minute it's a pack of biscuits and the next someone wants a lightbulb or some soap. During the evenings, it gets pretty crowded in here when people are coming home from work. The shelves are a bit tall, so using a stool is necessary to reach the top stuff. My brother and I run the place and sometimes my nephew comes in after school to help restock the drinks. All the foot traffic over the years has left some scuffs on the floor. A ledger is kept for the regulars, though tracking everything can be a headache sometimes. The fan overhead makes a bit of a clicking sound but it keeps the air moving. It’s a loud neighborhood with all the horns honking outside in the market. Plenty of shops have come and gone around here, but we’re still standing. It’s just a normal daily routine of opening up, dusting the jars, and waiting for the first customer. Fancy lights aren't our thing, just enough to see what's what.
