If you’re traveling down the Agra Road in Aligarh, you’ll find us situated right there on the main stretch of the highway. The road is always dusty and full of trucks and cars heading in and out of the city at all hours. We’ve been operating here for a long time, and the building shows its age in a few spots like the peeling paint, but it serves the community well regardless. Being on Agra Road means we get a lot of people coming in from the surrounding villages who need medical help. The waiting area is usually full by mid-morning, with families sitting together and waiting for their turn to see a doctor. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles, just the necessary rooms and beds for the patients who need to stay. The staff works in shifts, and there’s always someone at the front desk, even if they’re busy writing in the big blue ledgers we use for records. Aligarh can be a loud place, and the hospital is no exception with the traffic noise constantly buzzing outside the thin windows. We try to keep things moving along so people don't have to wait longer than they have to in the heat. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to switch over to the generator, which is just a normal part of life here. It’s a straightforward hospital where we deal with everyday health issues.
