People usually find us at Center Point on Samad Road when they are looking for something sweet after dinner. We start pretty early here, around six in the morning, getting the milk boiled and the sugar ready. The kitchen gets really hot during the day, especially when the big pans are going for the halwa. It’s a family-run thing and the staff has been with us for a long time. We don't have fancy decorations or anything, just rows of counters filled with whatever we made fresh that morning. Sometimes the shop gets crowded and people have to wait, but that is just how it goes in this part of town. We keep things simple and focus on the recipes that have worked for us for years. The guys in the back are always busy kneading dough or frying up batches of snacks. There is a lot of noise from the street outside, but inside it mostly smells like cardamom and ghee. We don't spend much time on fancy advertisements because most people just walk in after seeing the trays in the window. It is hard work staying on your feet all day, but seeing the same neighbors come in every week makes it feel like a normal part of the community. We just try to get the orders right and keep the trays full until we close up at night.
