Start with the location. It's at Imperial Plaza. We've been here for a bit. Jamalpur is where we do all the baking. My hands are usually covered in flour by mid-morning. It's not a fancy place, just the shop at F 6. People come in for the smell of fresh bread. Sometimes the oven gets too hot and we have to open the back door. It's just a few of us working here. We don't have a big team or anything. Most days we are just busy getting the dough ready. The tiles on the floor are a bit chipped but they've been there since we moved in. Sometimes the morning rush is a lot to handle. We try to keep things moving. We use standard ingredients from the local market. It gets noisy when the mixer is going. You can find us right in the plaza if you're walking by. The lights flicker a bit in the storage room. It’s a simple setup. We don’t do anything too complicated, just the usual stuff you’d expect from a bakery in Jamalpur. Sometimes we run out of things earlier than we thought. That’s just how it goes here. We close up once everything is sold or the day ends. It’s work, but it’s what we know how to do. We usually have the radio on in the background, mostly just talk shows or local music. It keeps us company while we wait for the timers to go off. The counter is small, so it gets crowded quickly.
