A.K. International

A.K. International is based at 148, New Vishnupuri. It’s a fairly quiet residential-cum-commercial neighborhood. Our office is a simple setup on the ground floor. We handle international trade and various export things from here. It’s mostly just a few of us sitting around with our laptops and phones, trying to coordinate with people in different time zones. Because of the time differences, sometimes we are here very early or staying quite late. The street outside is mostly full of local people going about their business, and it’s a nice change from the really crowded parts of the city. We have a small room where we keep our samples and a few files. There’s nothing very impressive about the building itself, it’s just a standard house that’s been converted for business use. We drink a lot of tea while we wait for calls to go through. We don't have a big fancy sign, just a small one near the gate so people know they have the right house. Most of our work is done through email and long-distance calls anyway. We’ve been in New Vishnupuri for several years now and we like the pace of the area. It’s a straightforward business and we don't feel the need to use big words to describe what we do. We just manage the shipments and make sure the paperwork is correct for the customs people.
