A&V Micro Benefit Foundation

A&V Micro Benefit Foundation operates out of the Shree Ram Mishra Janta School in Bisalpur. It’s a bit of a unique spot to have an office, being so close to a school. You can hear the children playing during their break and the school bell ringing every hour. Pilibhit is a quiet area and Bisalpur feels like a tight community. Our room is just a basic space with a couple of desks and some metal cupboards for our files. The walls have some old posters and we keep a calendar on the desk to mark the dates. It’s not a polished business center. We have a ceiling fan that wobbles a little when it’s on full speed. We drink a lot of tea here, mostly brought from the little shop just outside the school gates. The road leading up to the school is often dusty, especially when the tractors go by. We spend our time meeting with people from the nearby villages. It’s honest work and we don't feel the need for a fancy city office. Working near the school keeps us grounded. We see the kids every day and it reminds us of why we stay in this area. It’s a simple life in Pilibhit. We just do our tasks, handle the paperwork, and head home when the sun starts to go down.
