Being near the Iron Bridge means we are right in a familiar part of Alappuzha. The Muthuranga Complex is where we keep our small office on CCSB Road. It’s often humid here, so we are used to working in the heat and the rain. We aren't doing anything revolutionary. We just build houses and small commercial spots for people around here. Most of the day is spent traveling to different sites to check on the progress. We have to make sure the materials are arriving and the work is being done correctly. Sometimes the monsoon makes things difficult and we have to stop work for a bit, but we always get back to it. Our office doesn't look like much, just some chairs and a table where we can look at drawings. We don't have a marketing department or a polished website. People just know where we are at Thiruvambady Junction. We've lived in Alappuzha all our lives, so we know the local landscape and how to build for it. We are just a group of people who enjoy seeing a building go up from the ground. It’s hard work and your clothes get dirty every day, but it’s satisfying when a project is finally done. We don't make big promises; we just show up and do the work as best as we can. Every morning we start early to avoid the worst of the afternoon heat and we keep going until the light fades.
